Fashion has added some winter practicality these last few seasons. We've seen puffy coats on the street style queens who pair them with everything from maxi dresses to jeans and a tee. It's the ugly trend that's suddenly cool, but is it saturating winter outwear inspiration?
Also, winter is coming to an end. We can't be wearing this jacket when it's a brisk 50 degrees, but warms up in the afternoon. And for those California girls, do you really need to own a puffy coat anyways? (I never really get why I see pictures of Kim K. wearing a coat in L.A.)
We're here to present to you a funky alternative: coat liners. Lighter than a down puffer, but still a layer of warmth, these liners are functional and have a utilitarian look that may suit one of those I.AM.GIA girls. These jackets aren't really something you can spot in a store or google for a quick find. Etsy does have a great selection of them though that is worth checking out. For bonus points, you may consider taking the quilting into other garments such as pants. Kaity wears a liner pant which looks like an updated jogger that we nabbed at a thrift store.
This may be a new trend, or it may never catch on. But if they do become cool, you know where you saw it first. I just want the credit.
