Don't get caught in a sea of LBD's. Check out three unexpected looks to fashionably ring in the New Year.
1. Sequin top + high-waisted denim + furry coat
Attending a low-key party? Keep the sparkle and add denim for a casual dressed-up look. I prefer a beautiful vintage beaded top, but any sequin would look equally as cool.

2. Slip dress + mini skirt
Instead of sporting a miniskirt, consider layering it over a longer slip dress for a creatively layered look. It also works to give new life to that one skirt that is too short to wear on its own. For outerwear, I'd thrown on an oversized blazer.

3. Button-up top + crop top + dressy shorts + thigh-high socks
Consider this the Serena Van Der Woodsen NYE look specifically for the daring. Want to wear your go-to crop top and shorts but have already exhausted the outfit? Simply layer a button-up under the crop top. This also adds more coverage while defining your waist, if you are still skeptical about exposing your stomach. Ditch your usual black tights and add some sexiness with thigh-high socks and platforms.
