Like the nature of the fashion cycle, I tend to have certain fashion obsessions that come and go. These fashion obsessions usually linger in my thoughts until I finally pull the trigger and buy it and wear it until I've absolutely had enough. About a year and a half ago I was obsessed with chokers. Every picture of Gigi Hadid in a choker would immediately make me want to wear one. I needed to have all of them but was frustrated couldn't find the "perfect" one. However now, I really wouldn't put that much effort into putting one on. Occasionally I will want to wear one that will complement my outfit but I do not still have the burning, passionate desire as I did before (I really get that way about fashion). But for right now, here are my Fall 2017 obsessions that I really cannot get enough of (for the moment at least).
1. Fendi Baguette Bags
I think my age group has really lost the art of carrying a purse. When I'm out with my friends, most of them usually just carry around their wallets, or tuck their cards into a stick-on pocket on the back of their phones (lame). The lack appreciation of this accessory made me appreciate it even more, and my newfound obsession with Sex and the City made me appreciate the Fendi baguette bag. A quick Ebay search and too many bids later, I now have three cute little baguette bags and the perfect accessory to hold my necessities.
2. Berets (particularly leather)
This hat bounces back from being chic, then tacky, and then back to chic. In my personal opinion, as a self-proclaimed hat person, you can never go wrong with a beret. Equally cute and functional, 2017 berets are the refined version of the bohemian berets you wore at the back of your head in 2007 (à la Rachel Zoe). Can we say that Dior is responsible for the comeback of this trend?

3. Who What Wear for Target
This season's collection is so good. It's uber stylish, well-made and the prices can't be beat. My favorites are the statement blouses and paper-bag trousers. I'm no longer going to look at any other fast-fashion source because the Who What Wear collection really takes the cake. Take a look below at some of the pieces that I've bought or am planning on buying.

4. Orange (in the form of clothing and pumpkins, duh)
Orange is the classic fall color and underrated when it comes to fashion. It is actually super flattering on a variety of skin tones and a very warming color. Consider pairing orange with navy or denim, or for a more daring option, pink would also be a good choice.
Food wise, pumpkin is still the champion flavor of fall (sorry haters). Pumpkin mac and cheese (good with a merlot), pumpkin pancakes, pumpkin cheesecake, and the pumpkin cinnamon roll at my local bakery (Cakehead Bakeshop) is life changing.
5. Clip-on Earrings
Call me an old lady, but clip-ons can still be stylish. I love the look of big statement earrings but hate how it pulls down on my earlobe. Vintage clip-ons are the perfect alternative for this on-trend accessory.
6. Project Runway Season 16
BEST. SEASON. YET. From the models, to the designers, this season has been my favorite by far. The outfits are so much more stylish and well-made than past seasons and I really hope they continue using models of all sizes. Liris and Christina are my favorite models and can really slay any look. Brandon is one of the most talented and focused designers that I hope dresses me someday, but Ayana is also a secret fashion weapon. From the last episode, I'm buying Ayana's miniskirt/pant combo that she's selling on Etsy. So cool.
