Fashion Obsessions: Target Designer Collabs

We all know any girl is obsessed with Target, but throw a special designer collection in there and it only creates more excitement. Just something about the exclusivity and anticipation of the next designer release makes me want to shop the collection no matter who designs it. Since the collab with Missoni, my mom and I have developed a tradition of buying a piece from each collection. I'm convinced that each item will be a cool vintage find that I can give my daughter 25 years from now, but who really knows which trends will stand the test of time? The last collection originally came out in April, but here I am 4 months late, styling a dress I got at the Target collaboration with Victoria Beckham. (Idaho is a little late on fashion trends anyway)

One of the items that I bought was this black calla lily dress (I wanted this print in the pants but it sold out fast). I normally wouldn't add a belt, but I've been trying to avoid dresses this shape because I have more of an athletic body type. Shift dresses tend to feel too blah on me (just my opinion). I really liked this light neoprene fabric though, very easy and comfortable to wear and the ruffle at the bottom added a cool flair. I paired it with a fringy white jacket that I almost gave away, but I decided to crop it and it felt completely new. (A cropped cardigan feels very early 2000's, which I have a feeling some of those trends are coming back.) Wearing the jacket off the shoulder makes it look 2017 street style cool. To dress down the ladylike dress I added some ~dad vibes~ with the socks and flatform Teva combo.
