In this edition of "Style Twins", we've styled a dress designed and made by Kasey. Inspired by the shirting material and deconstructed menswear trend of the spring, she made this asymmetric white dress with ties at the shoulders. The white is a go-to color for a summer dress, but the interesting and structured shape makes it a statement dress. This type of dress is ideal for a "fashion girl" in the summer because it is visually appealing even without extra accessories or layers. Take a look at how we styled this dress:
Kasey:
This dress is a statement on its own, so it does not need many extras. I chose to keep it monochromatic with a multi-strand pearl choker necklace and my favorite white summer sunglasses. I feel like this dress is an unintentional nod to the style Rosie Assoulin, which I've really liked seeing on Leandra Medine.
Kaity:
I loosened the shoulder ties to wear this dress a little off my shoulder for a different look. Kasey can pull off more of a plunging neckline because she has a smaller bust, but I decided to close the top and secure it with a vintage brooch. Grecian styles have been a source for fashion inspiration lately, including the Chanel Cruise and Gucci Resort collections, so I added this gold leaf headband.
