How to Wear a Sheer Dress Without Offending People

Sheer dresses have been one of the prettiest trends for the summer and also functional when dealing with the heat. While "high-fashion" me wants to wear a bodysuit or high-waisted briefs with a lace dress, it might not be appropriate when you work in a boutique in North Idaho and are helping confused customers who have no idea that this trend is all over the red carpets and runways. I'm all for wearing whatever you want and not giving a sh*t what other people think, but you can only take it so far with showing your undies for a fashion statement, especially in Idaho or in the workplace.

Instead of the bodysuit, I layered the lace dress over a black bralette and simple black skirt. The bralette gives the same look as exposed undergarments without showing as much skin. The crop top and miniskirt formula has been a go-to outfit for a lot of young girls, but by adding the extra layer, it takes the creativity of the outfit to another level without any extra bulk. Recently I've really liked pairing together different shades of blue together so I also added this lightweight printed bomber. It seems like the outfit would be too much with the patterns and textures, but the light materials keep it effortless for summer.
